It is in the western part of Shanghai and is another “pearl” of Shanghai and its ideal location is situated in the Hong Qiao Economical and Technical Development Zone. Within walking distance, there are Shanghai International Exhibition Center, Shanghai Mart, and the Shanghai International Trade Center. The hotel is also a mere 15-minute drive from the Hong Qiao International Airport and downtown. Also, the drive only takes 20 minutes to PuDong LuJiaZui Commercial Area and 40 minutes to Pu Dong International Airport via highway.

Shanghai Hong Qiao State Guest Hotel is a unique 5-star garden style hotel. She began its operation in the last century 50’s and has been continuously expanding with a world-class guest hotel of approximately 300 Chinese acres established in 60's mainly serving senior Chinese government officials.
The astonishing history makes our hotel being re-crowned with a mysterious name " 415 Guest Hotel “. In the remarkable 80’s, Mr. Deng Xiao Ping suggested state guest hotels should be open to public; and it was our milestone to develop a hopeful future.
In 1986, Mr. Wu Yao Bang, the General Party Secretary of China Communist Party had a wonderful stay at our hotel. During his stay, he wrote us an autograph with “ Shanghai Hong Qiao State Guest Hotel” as a gift to us. And our hotel start using “ Shanghai Hong Qiao State Guest Hotel” instead of “415 Guest Hotel since then.
Shanghai Hong Qiao State Guest Hotel is one of the major gardenr hotels within the Dong Wu group. In the beautiful May of year 2000. Shanghai Hong Qiao State Guest Hotel started some reconstruction and expansion plans with scientific perspectives and courage to develop blue print within the 300 Chinese acres landscape. To meet up our goal of being a quality and professional 5-star state guest hotel which will mainly serve state guests and executives.
In mid April 2002, Shanghai Hong Qiao State Guest Hotel invested RMB200 million for renovate and other project extension within the hotel and its premises. Located on the greenery landscape area, there are a splendid distinguished of VIP Building, an exclusive and elegant Executive Building. All of our buildings are dedicated designed by famous American and Hong Kong architects and interior designers. Its style, tone & color arrangement and decoration are western-style primarily but it is ingeniously mixed with traditional Chinese cultural elements. This extraordinary design creates a marvelous atmosphere.
Endorsed by the National Tourism Administration of the People's Republic of China, the Shanghai Hong Qiao State Guest Hotel is officially acknowledged as a 5- star hotel in January 2003. It is the recognition affirmation of our guest hotel's outstanding operation, management, definitely facilitates and development in the future.
